Christine has been a valued member of the administration team at Melville Independent plc since our establishment in July 2011.
She was born in Stranraer and had various house moves before her parents finally settled in the Edinburgh area. A high achiever at one of Edinburgh’s top academies, Christine started her career with one of the then biggest insurers, Guardian Royal Exchange, in their life services department.
Whilst there, Christine completed a Scottish National Certificate in Business Studies and successfully attained the newly introduced Financial Planning Certificate. Subsequently, she gained great experience of systems and procedures in 3 large Edinburgh Independent Financial Advisers firms where she was involved in all aspects of life, investment, and pension administration.
At Melville she provides administrative support to 5 advisers – which includes processing new advice, preparing annual reviews, and plan valuations. If required, Christine helps the advisers by providing key features documents, illustrations and any investment information that may be required. She also liaises with the many insurance and investment companies to ensure our clients get the best service possible.
Christine is married with one daughter who has followed in her mother’s footsteps and is also working in the financial services sector.
