Alistair Marsh is Melville Independent plc’s Head of Mortgages. He has a solid, hands-on approach to mortgages and ensures that he and his highly experienced team are at the cutting edge of the mortgage market. Alistair has built up an enviable list of contacts in the mortgage market, meaning we can get deals that others struggle to find.
He has built his team around an ethos of superior client service, meaning that almost all our mortgage enquiries are introduced to us from our delighted existing customers.
Alistair is a fully qualified Independent Financial Adviser, providing protection, investment, and pensions advice, as well as being authorised for mortgage and Later Life mortgages such as Equity Release.
Alistair was educated and grew up in the Borders. Understandably, rugby was a big part of his upbringing, and he played club rugby all over Scotland before turning his hand to coaching the game. Alistair is a keen golfer and continues to keep fit by getting out for a run whenever he can.
He is married with a son and daughter whom he likes to take to see the best places in Scotland and, with his parents living overseas, he loves international travel as well.
