James joined the Melville Independent team in 2024 as a Trainee Adviser, bringing knowledge and expertise for helping clients secure their financial futures. We are proud to announce that he has now completed his training & qualifications and has advanced to the role of Senior Financial Planner.
With an existing background in financial services, James brings a wealth of experience from his previous career in management consultancy where he used to focus on asset and wealth managers. We are excited to have him on board to apply his expertise to the world of financial planning.
Originally from Edinburgh James studied his undergraduate in automative engineering at Loughborough University followed later by a masters degree in finance from the University of Strathclyde.
Outside of work, James enjoys spending time with his wife and family, getting into the hills for a hike and heading to the gym after a day of work. He is looking forward to growing both professionally and personally as part of the Melville team.
