Lorraine Marsh has been a Mortgage Administrator at Melville Independent since January 2023. This involves supporting the Mortgage Advisers to provide the best customer experience, whether you are a first-time buyer or looking to expand your property portfolio. She completes the regulatory ID checks for new clients and collates the details of the chosen mortgage product into a suitability report, which breaks the information down to make it easy to digest.
Lorraine was a hairstylist for many years before deciding to work in the financial sector and she was able to transfer her skills in communication and excellent customer service to her new role.
Halifax was the first stop on her new career which gave her a great introduction to the world of banking and its regulatory requirements. She was promoted to Scottish Widows as a Pension Administrator which expanded her knowledge and her attention to detail was rewarded with a role in Quality Checking her peer’s work and investigating system errors.
Lorraine is a qualified Mortgage Adviser and enjoys her role as part of the Mortgage team at Melville Independent.
Lorraine is married and has a son and daughter who keep her very busy but in her free time she enjoys socialising and trying new restaurants. She is originally from the Scottish Borders but now stays in a small town to the South of Edinburgh.
